Louis D. Brandeis Law Society, the Jewish law society, is dedicated to advancing and enriching the personal and professional interests of our members of the Bench and Bar.  We promote opportunities for leadership development, social interaction, education and community service.

Leadership Development

The Leadership Development Committee promotes members of the Society in their efforts to attain leadership positions in the Society, bar associations, and community activities.

Continuing Legal Education The CLE Committee plans and puts on high quality continuing legal education programs for credit at low or no fee to our Society members.
Jewish Law Day The Jewish Law Day Committee coordinates the Society’s involvement in planning and executing Jewish Law Day.
Foundation

The Foundation Committee is responsible for establishing an endowment to carrying out the Society’s mission.  The Committee is also responsible for carrying out the Society’s mission of supporting charitable and educational endeavors which promote the ideal of Justice in accordance with Jewish Law and tradition and consistent with the guidelines established by the Executive Committee.

Membership

The Membership Committee is responsible for developing and implementing initiatives to recruit, involve and retain members of the Society.

Programs The Programs Committee plans interesting and educational opportunities for our members to socialize.
Social Action

The Social Action Committee plans and executes community service activities that benefit the community.  The Committee plans the Society’s annual Stuart J. Agins Day of Service.

Technology The Technology Committee is charged with developing and improving communications and the functionality of our web-site to benefit members, through, among other things, a web-based lawyer to lawyer referral network. 
Newsletter The Newsletter Committee is charged with developing and editing a newsletter for publication to all members.  The newsletter is to include articles written by members on a broad range of topics covering the diverse interests of our membership.  The newsletter may include articles on legal topics, practice tips, human interest, items of good and welfare, as well as a Letter from the Chancellor.
