Aaron Kintu Moses, of the inspiring Jewish community of Uganda, discussed the legal hurdles that he has had to overcome in championing joint Abayudaya-Kulanu education and sustainable development projects. He presented a dynamic multi-media program updating us on the Kulanu-supported Abayudaya primary and high schools, which educate and feed 700 Jewish, Muslim and Christian children studying together in peace. Mr. Kintu discussed how the Abayudaya and Kulanu are taking a leadership role in increasing literacy and nutrition, and in bringing diverse religious communities together.

Citizens Bank, in conjunction with the Louis D. Brandeis Law Society, hosted Jewish Family & Children's Service of Greater Philadelphia's Special Needs Clients at Jewish Heritage Night at the Phillies. Despite a lengthy rain delay, a good time was had by all. Attendees were treated to special visits from the Phillies' own Shane Victorino, popster Ke$ha, State Sen. Larry Farnese, State Sen. At our 2010 Chanukah party, we awarded Senator Arlen Specter the Benjamin F. Levy Community Service Award. Unfortunately, he was unable to attend, but he sent along a video to address our members and accept the award.
