Brandeis Law Society, in partnership with Lawyers (the lawyers’ pro bono committee of Congregation Rodeph Shalom), hosts a 90-minute CLE on the Pennsylvania pardon process and application, which has been greatly simplified since our first training in September 2018. The Board of Pardons is now recommending 87% of the pardon applications they hear, and there are 100,000 low-income Philadelphians who could benefit, if they could just get the forms fully filled out and their stories told well. EVERY attorney can help do this, so bring a colleague. Volunteers are only being asked to help fill out the forms, not to represent them after the application has been filed.

The program will be presented by Tobey Oxholm, Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity, which has pre-screened the clients for their likelihood of success before the Board. The program is free; lunch is provided. Must volunteer to take a case in order to get CLE credit.
