The Judge Sandra Mazer Moss Scholarship Award is an $2,500 cash prize given to a single parent law student (of any religion or creed) at a Philadelphia area law school who strives for personal achievement, success and excellence in the law.

The Mayer Horwitz Scholarship Award is a $2,500 cash prize given to a Jewish law student at a Philadelphia area law school who has demonstrated an interest and involvement in community service.


Brandeis Law Society Young Lawyer Public Service Award

The Brandeis Law Society Young Lawyer Public Service Award is an $2,500 cash prize given to a Jewish member of the Pennsylvania Bar in practice three years or less and a member of the Louis D. Brandeis Law Society who is currently employed in a legal capacity in either the public sector or a non-profit organization, has demonstrated a commitment to public service, and has shown outstanding leadership, professional achievement, and promise for future excellence.


The Louis D. Brandeis Law Society Foundation Internship in the JEVS’ Franklin C. Ash Summer Internship Program

The Louis D. Brandeis Law Society Foundation Internship provides a Jewish law student with a 7 week work experience at HIAS Pennsylvania as well as a leadership opportunity at JEVS Career Strategies. The intern works 4 days per week at HIAS Pennsylvania supporting their mission of creating a welcoming and secure environment for immigrants and their families from any ethnic, cultural, or religious background. One day per week he/she serves a mentor to Jewish college students from the Franklin C. Ash Summer Internship Program (there is 14 interns) and participates in activities including career exploration and coaching (such as workshop on LinkedIn, salary negotiations, mock interviews and more). You will also participate in group social activities with the high school interns from the Lasko College Prep Program. The program dates are June 18th through August 3rd, 2018. The student selected must complete the entire internship during these dates after which the student will be awarded a stipend of $3000.
